In June Rural PREP welcomed seven teams of researchers to our 4th microresearch cohort. The Rural PREP microresearch approach seeks to generate impact by focusing on locally generated and implemented projects in small (rural) places in pursuit of local solutions to a local problem.
All awardees receive up to $4,000 for a one-year study. Preference is given to research that is:
- Community-engaged, including a commitment of in-kind community contributions
- Collaborative across health professions or institutions
Research projects for Rural PREP’s 2020-2021 cohort include four focused on the rural impact of COVID-19. Review the full list of current and past projects on our website.
If you or a colleague are interested in a microresearch award please check back in spring 2021 for details on the application process for cohort 5!
